Spavia of West Loop is partnering with Surge for Water, a global nonprofit that invests in communities to provide safe water, sanitation, hygiene and menstrual health solutions to help end the cycle of poverty. As part of these partnerships, from April 7 to May 12, 12% of gift card sales in Lincoln Park Spavia will be donated to Envision Unlimited and 12% of gift card sales in West Loop Spavia will be donated to Surge for Water resulting in a month long endeavor to raise funds for these worthy causes.

Surge for Water invests in communities with safe water, sanitation, hygiene and menstrual health solutions to help end the cycle of poverty. Shilpa Alva, Executive Director, first visited family in India when she was a child. Instead of seeing children who had the luxury of playing, she saw them fetching water. At 21, she spent months on a teaching assignment in Rajgarh, a remote Indian village where she witnessed students missing school due to water-borne illnesses. The founding of Surge in 2008 was a response to this essential need and calling. Today, a global team of talented staff and volunteers run Surge.
